Welcome to "Vivo Storia" (I Live History) - a collection that draws inspiration from legendary dinnerware patterns. First in this series, we present the "Garofano" pattern, a symbol of Italian craftsmanship and cultural heritage. The "Garofano" (carnation in English), is a revered design with a rich history and has become a significant part of Faenza's ceramic identity since the 1700s.
The Garofano pattern saw a renaissance in the 18th century at the Fergnani factory in Faenza, and later, under the visionary direction of Giò Ponti, an artist of extraordinary intuition. While mass production flourished into decals on porcelain plates, our artisans have remained steadfast in their commitment to the traditional methods of majolica, keeping alive a craft that time almost forgot. We are beyond thrilled to offer these traditionally hand made plates with the iconic carnation, made with the pride and symbol of majolica production from CCI since 1874.
We hope you love them as much as we do!
