The "Garofano" pattern, a symbol of Italian craftsmanship and cultural heritage. The "Garofano" (carnation in English), is a revered design with a rich history and has become a significant part of Faenza's ceramic identity since the 1700s.
The Garofano pattern saw a renaissance in the 18th century at the Fergnani factory in Faenza, and later, under the visionary direction of Giò Ponti, an artist of extraordinary intuition. While mass production flourished into decals on porcelain plates, our artisans have remained steadfast in their commitment to the traditional methods of majolica, keeping alive a craft that time almost forgot. We are beyond thrilled to offer these traditionally hand made pieces with the iconic carnation, made with the pride and symbol of majolica production from CCI since 1874.

PRODUCTION NOTE: This unique lavender is no ordinary color—it is born from a painstaking process to extract just the right pigment, capturing a shade as rare and luminous as sea glass kissed by the sun. This pursuit of perfection carries a 34% increase in material cost, a reflection of the artistry required to bring such beauty to life.
