Velato’s new satin finish has a soft, almost velvety feel. But what makes it especially exciting is what it allows the artisans to do. For the first time, luminous white decoration can be hand-painted over a colored ground, something the traditional glossy majolica process simply couldn’t achieve.

The "Garofano" pattern, a symbol of Italian craftsmanship and cultural heritage. The "Garofano" (carnation in English), is a revered design with a rich history and has become a significant part of Faenza's ceramic identity since the 1700s. Our ceramic pieces hand made in Imola since 1874.

• Each piece individually hand-painted in Italy. Slight variations in brushwork, glaze, and surface character are the hallmarks of authentic artisan majolica, making every piece uniquely its own.

EASY CARE: These are dishwasher safe and we recommend a liquid detergent. To protect the integrity of our beautiful ceramics, please consider rinsing/washing by hand with a non-abrasive sponge.
